Scone Palace

Scone Palace situated in Scone near the centre of Perth, stands on the east bank of the River Tay. Scone was once the capital of a Pictish Kingdom dating back at least 2000 years.

Scone Palace was once the crowning place of the Kings of Scots. It is an impressive building with extensive gardens and was once the rightful home of the Stone of Scone or Stone of Destiny.

The building that remains today was built in 1803 by the 3rd Earl of Mansfield.
