An estate in Perthshire is being investigated after 2 poisoned buzzards and bait were found on the property.
Birds of Prey in Perthshire and all of Scotland are protected by law making it illegal to disturb their nests or kill them. This includes buzzards, sea eagles, ospreys, golden eagles, kites and peregrine falcons.
It is not the first time this has happened as game keepers are keen to stop young pheasants from being taken by birds of prey.
Last year, a man was convicted at Perth court after admitting killing buzzards after they had attacked pheasant chicks.
